9000 Dimensions is a twice-weekly newsletter about AI, platforms, and the future of entertainment. It’s for curious creatives interested in how technology is reshaping the way culture gets made and distributed.

  • Anti-doomerism for curious creatives

  • Techno-optimism for people (mentally and spiritually) outside Silicon Valley

  • Futurism for generalists

On Friday mornings, subscribers receive a roundup of the most interesting stories I saved that week. Like this:

And each Sunday, I share a short essay exploring topics like these:

About the author, me, Xander Seren
I’ve spent the past 15 years working across mediums. I ran a music venue, started a couple record labels, freelanced making apps and websites, led teams building large-scale art installations, consulted for foreign governments on art and technology, created VR experiences, founded a metaverse startup, and released a game on Steam.

You can find me on X at @xndsrn and see more of my work at xndsrn.com.

Why 9000 Dimensions?
The name comes from Over 9000, the Dragon Ball Z-inspired meme from the mid-2000s. It’s a nod to the idea that the future won’t fit neatly into three dimensions.
